Dr. Luke has tweeted a preview of a new britney song called "I I I Wanna Go O O" and I am super excited to hear the rest! it doesn't have that immediate "hit" sound like Hold it Against Me does, but it sounds like it has a lot to offer and hopefully the full song will not dissapoint, I am eagerly awaiting this album!!

Rihanna was the headline act at the NBA All-Star Halftime Show yestersday. In her usual form, the singer sang her hit songs ‘Umbrella’, ‘Rude Boy’ and ‘Only Girl (In The World)’ and was then joined by Drake and Kanye West. A good peformance for a change, very entertaining.

Lady Gaga Born This Way Performance and Lyrics from Judas

Check out a new performance of Born This Way from her Monster Ball Tour which is also going to be televised very shortly in the USA. This song is growing on me and I do like it, but Poker Face and Bad Romance are so much better. Also the Lady herself has tweeted some lyrics from the supposed second single 'Judas'. I cannot wait for this song, from what I've heard its gonna be amazing.

"I'm just a Holy Fool, oh baby he's so cruel, but I'm still in love with Judas, Baby." The lyrics were followed by an emoticon of a cross.

After the million video teasers for the above video I was extremely excited to see the clip for 'Hold It Against Me'. It has a glossy finish and clever editing which make Britney look good. The costumes are brilliant and are very flattering on Britney and she looks on top form. However again we can't really tell if her dancing is back up to the way it was circa Britney 2002. I love the routine and I would have loved to have seen much more dancing. I will hold further judgement of the dancing until I see a TV performance. Overall a good start to the promo campaign.

Top Three Grammy Performances

Lady Gaga - Born This Way

Gaga completed her first performance of her new single 'Born This Way'. It definitely was a good performance, I don't know why, but I was expecting a little bit more. However I cannot fault the vocals and the dancing. Gaga also took home three grammy's last night. Well done!

Katy Perry - Medley

Katy unfortunately did not win any grammys for her brilliant album 'Teenage Dream', however she showed off her improved vocals on the night. I love the dream theme of the performance and I was sad to see that she went away empty handed.

Rihanna - What's My Name

Rihanna performed twice on the night and also won 1 grammy for 'Only Girl In The World'. Rihanna gave a good performance, nothing really different from her previous performances of the song, but still good. I am really looking forward to her Brit Award performance tomorrow night. I hear she is singing S&M. Woop!

The Saturdays Tour Review - The Headlines Tour

 

After seeing The Saturdays on the previous 'Work Tour' I was very excited to hear that the girls were embarking a second headlining tour. The Saturdays are known for their fun songs,good dance routines and colourful costumes. 

The girls started off by shouting out random names of people in the crowd. Unfortunetly it was not my night and I didn't get picked. Then up came The Saturdays singing their most recent hit 'Higher', it is still one of my favourite songs even though it has been overplayed in my ipod. The costumes were great and they even sang live! Which not alot of girlbands do. Following this were songs such as the amazing 'One Shot' and ' Lose Control'.

Before the next section of the show started the showed several clips from their reality show 'Saturdays 24/7'. This pleased the crowd and reminded me of how fun the show actually was. Songs Puppet, with even real puppet strings and my favourite 'Work' soon followed.

Then on came the part I was most looking forward to... The Rihanna songs!!  'What's My Name' and 'Only Girl In The World'. They did good versions of these songs and really got the gig going.

As the evening drew to a close I could see how much work The Saturdays put into the show. The dancing was better, the singing was on point and I could see how much they improved since the last gig I saw. They ended on one of their most famous songs 'Ego' and made my night even better by announcing that they are going to tour again in December. Front Row next time please!!

Britney Spears has just announced the name of her upcoming 7th studio album and has also revealed the artwork for the upcoming album, she took to twitter to unleash this information to her fans, here is what she wrote on twitter:

"I've poured my heart and soul into this album over the last 2 years. I've put everything I have into it.

This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all!

For those of you who aren't familiar with what a Femme Fatale is:

New Dawn Richard Song

You should remember Dawn Richard from the girlgroup Danity Kane well here is a solo song coming up from a new mixtape being released very shortly. ‘Me, Myself & Y’ is a good pop/r'n'b song but not anywhere as good as the girls songs.  It has now been confirmed that the new Britney' album will be released on March 15 in the USA. Below is more details that have been released on the project. Cannot Wait!

(The album) features “multiple songs” from pop masterminds Max Martin and Dr. Luke. Additional production credits include Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Fraser T. Smith, Bloodshy & Avant and more. Fans can choose between a standard (soft pack/wallet packaging) version of the album and the deluxe (expanded soft pack with additional booklet pages), which will feature three or four additional tracks.

In terms of Spears’ press plans, the follow-up to 2008’s Circus will be met with “a major TV event to launch the album” and a TV campaign, which will feature a variation of spots before the LP hits stores. The promotional rollout will extend to advertisements on everything from the Internet to the side of taxicabs. Other marketing schemes include a “LGBT/Lifestyle campaign,” worldwide online fan contests and routine tweets from Brit.

VP of Music Programming at BET, Stephen Hill, announced on his Twitter yesterday that he's listened to SIX new Lady Gaga songs from her upcoming album Born This Way and said it has an, "aural energy that had my speakers gasping for water afterwards. The new song title is Edge of Glory, I am extremelly looking forward to the new album and I hope it does live up to its already growing hype.

Avrill Lavigne's 'What The Hell' Video

Above is the new video from Avril Lavigne. 'What The Hell' is the first single from the new album. The song has grown on me SO much since it came out. The video is OK at best, it just seems to be a generic pop video with nothing special to it. I am looking forward to see the 3D version of the video at some point. Hopefully she can follow this up with a killer second single.

Tour Review - Alexandra Burke

I had always wanted to see Alexandra since her 2008 XFactor win in the UK. She can sing and dance live at the same time and can deliver such good songs. The show had two support acts, local singer Carrie Mac who was good and clearly had great support in the room and new girl band Parade, who I have previewed earlier. It was really clear that everyone wanted to see Alexandra though.

The show started with the singles 'Broken Heels' and the Number 1, 'Start Without You'. Above is Alexandra singing that number 1 hit, filmed by myself. I think this video shows how amazing she is, her dance section in the middle is fantastic and the great vocals never stop! Below is one of my favourite songs, called 'Nothing But The Girl' which again Alexandra smashed.

The night went on so fast with amazing performances of her songs 'All Night Long', 'Hallehjuah' and 'The Silence'. Below is an amazing medley of Destiny's Child hits performed by Alexandra, this again was a crowd pleaser and I thought she could rival Beyonce with they moves!

As the night drew to a close I realised how amazing she actually is and I think she really could be amazing worldwide, instead of just being a hit in the UK. Below is her first single and last song of the night 'Bad Boys'. This summed up a great gig and I cannot wait to see her again!

New Girlband! - Parade

Above is a new British Girlband called Parade, Jessica, Lauren, Bianca, Emily and Sian have been put together by Jayne Collins, who also formed The Saturdays. I saw them last night as a support act for Alexandra Burke and I have to say that I was very impressed, their dancing was amazing and on point. Some of their songs are just OK but there are some really good ones such as 'rollercoaster' above, which has a brilliant dance routine. Below is there first single 'Louder' which does have a catchy hook and melody. However will it be a hit? We will have to wait and see...

P!nk's New Video

Pink - F**kin Perfect

Above is the new video from P!nk, this is the second single from her greatest hits album. I have to say I absolutely love the end product. From start to finish. The storyline is amazing, the scene's in the bathtub are very shocking but convey the message very well. I think this song will be successful, however I doubt there will be much promotion due to P!nk's pregnancy. Overall - GREAT!

"Hold It Against Me"  has scored 411,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

More Britney Chart and Video News

Britneys' new single, ‘Hold It Against Me’, has rocketed onto the Billboard Pop chart in America, debuting at #16 on the tally with a record-breaking 4,071 plays.

Not only has the song entered the tally with the highest 1st-week detections in the 18-year history of the chart but is also tied with Madonna’s ‘Frozen’ for the 2nd highest debut on the Pop format. However, even the Queen and Princess of Pop could not dethrone head diva Mariah Carey’s ‘Dreamlover’ which entered the lineup at #12 in 1993.It does look like Britney will get to number 1 on the billboard charts, however figures are not released until tomorrow.

The singer has confirmed that she will shoot the promo for 'Hold It Against Me' this week.
"Dance, dance, and more dance," Spears wrote on Twitter. "Getting ready to shoot the video for 'Hold It Against Me' this week with Jonas Akerlund. Super excited!"

Akerlund previously worked with Lady GaGa on the videos for both 'Paparazzi' and 'Telephone'.

Above is the new single cover from JLO. Her record company is obviously trying to market Jennifer us much as possible with her judging role in American Idol coming up at the end of January. I do like the cover, however I am not sure if the song will stand out with new Britney and Lady Gaga songs coming out over the same period. Anyway we will see what the promotion is like.

Following there most recent album 'Sweet 7', it has now been announced that the Sugababes will release their second greatest hits album. Push The Button: The Collection will be released next month. I find it extremely strange that they would release a second greatest hits since there last greatest hits was only three albums ago. However I expect that this will be a way for the record company to make some quick money and I doubt there will be any promotion for the CD. Good Luck!

Avril Lavigne has bounced back in 2011 with her new single "What The Hell", above is her first live performance of the song. I personally think that the song is OK, does remind me of "Girlfriend", however it may grow on me. The above performance is obviously mimed, which I am surprised about as she does have a good voice.

Also today it has been announced that the video for the song will be released in 3D, Avril tweeted "3D motherf**ker! It's like you can touch it!" I am looking forward to that...

Leona Lewis released her sophomore album 'Echo' in 2009, above is one of the best songs on the album which should have got released! 'Outta My Head' has an amazing chorus and had the sound which her second album should have had! I cannot believe that this was not released as a single!

Sugababes - Thank You For The Heartbreak

From 2010's disappointing albums 'Sweet 7', 'Thank You For The Heartbreak' starts with an infectious rhythm and has great lyrics. Sugababes did loose there identity on this album and I hope that the next album has more of the old Sugababes magic. This song was written by Ryan Tedder who previously wrote 'Bleeding Love'.

Lily Allen - Back To The Start

This song is taken from Lily Allen's second album 'It's Not Me, It's You', this is a great song with great lyrics. It is such a shame that she has 'retired' and I hope she returns very soon. Give this song a listen, the electronic beats get you hooked straight away, even if you don't like her.

Blake McGrath - Penthouse

Blake McGrath is a multi-talented, singer and professional dancer who has danced for Britney and Janet. Above is my favourite song from his first album 'Time To Move', take a listen and I am sure you will like.

Disappointments of 2010

Christina Aguilera - Bionic

Overall 2010 was a massive disappointment for Christina, she released the first single 'Not Myself Tonight' which turned out to be a minor hit in the UK and USA, however the album did far worse than expected. The album did get number 1 in the UK however it holds the record for the biggest drop from number 1. It is sad because she does have one of the best voices out there, but she cannot seem to get a hit at the moment. There are a few good songs on the album such as 'Vanity', 'Bionic' and 'You Lost Me', however the album did not click with the buying public and promotion cannot be put to blame.

 

Alesha Dixon - The Entertainer

Alesha Dixon returned in 2010 with her third studio album 'The Entertainer'. Both singles 'Dummer Boy' and 'Radio' failed to do well and the album charted at number 84 within the UK. There has already been rumours that Alesha will be dropped if her new single "Every Little Part of Me", featuring English urban singer, Jay Sean does not do well. 

 

Ciara - Basic Instinct

Ciara released her 4th Studio album in December 2010, even though the album itself is good, the album stalled at 44 in the Billboard 200 and did not make it into the UK charts. I think this can be put down to the constant changing of the release date and the very poor promotion of the record. Now with two flop albums in a row, will there be 5th Ciara album?

The Black Eyed Peas - The Beginning

The Black Eyed Peas released 'The Beginning' in late 2010, with the single 'The Time (Dirty Bit)' showcasing how annoying this album is. The album has not done anywhere near as well as 'The END' and after a few listens I wanted to turn it off. Generic electronic pop with no effort into the production.

Music of 2011

Natalia Kills - Mirrors

Natalia came to my attention as a support act for Kelis in her UK tour in 2010. Natalia is about to start her musical journey with the first single 'Mirrors'. Described as Dark Pop, Natalia's music is catchy, sexy. Love Sex Control Vanity! I cannot wait for the album The Perfectionist out this spring.

Britney Spears - Hold It Against Me

Britney Spears is back with a bang in 2011 with the release of her new single 'Hold It Against Me'. Even though the above is just a demo, I love it. It shows a departure from 2008's 'Circus' which saw Britney return to pure pop. I cannot wait to hear the real thing on Tuesday and hope that Britney can improve on her performing for the promotion coming up.

Patrick Wolf - Time of My Life

Patrick Wolf will return this year with the follow up to 2009's 'The Bachelor', above is the first single from the new album. Patrick has always been an inspiration to me and I cannot wait to hear his new work and see him on tour this spring.

Joesph Birdsong - You and Me

Joesph is a Youtuber who also has a passion for electronic music. Above is my favourite song from his first EP 'Young and Free Pt. 1'. I look forward to see what is in store for Joesph in the future.

Ke$ha - Blow

This is the second single to be taken from Ke$ha's 'Cannibal', this is a great club track and I am sure will become another hit for the autotune diva.
